Are large pus filled lesions that look similar to boils.They can be painful and should also be treated by a dermatologist.

There are many causes when it comes to pimples. These range from hereditary, hygiene, diet and even some beauty creams.

GARLIC

Garlic has antiseptic properties that can fight off bacteria invading your skin. In addition to that, it also contains natural components like sulfur known to quickly heal acne. To use it as an acne home remedy, slice a garlic clove into two. You can then rub the garlic and its juice directly to your pimples. Leave it for five minutes before washing with lukewarm water. Repeat as desired or when the skin shows no signs of sensitivity.

GREEN TEA

Yes you can also use green tea as a natural remedy to getting rid of pimples.
Steep green tea in boiling water for a few minutes and leave it to cool. Apply this to your face using a cotton ball. Leave on overnight and rinse your face with clean water in the morning. You can repeat this daily for as long as you want.

LEMON JUICE

Lemon juice is a very effective method not only for reducing and clearing pimples but it also reduces the oil in your skin. It kills off bacteria,reduces redness and is a cheap method too. Wash your face with warm water and a mild soap before applying the juice to your face. Dry your face and then apply lemon juice to your affected areas.This can sting a little. If the pain is more than you can handle dilute the juice with a little bit of water. Wait for 15 mins before rinsing. Repeat this method twice a week.
However, if you have dry skin, lemon juice home remedy treatment may not be the most suitable for you. It may leave your skin feeling excessively dry and flaky too.

ALOE VERA

Aloe vera gel has been used to treat aging signs like wrinkles and fine lines on one’s face. It can also do wonders for acne/pimples. It only takes just a few days to notice a difference.They will start healing faster than they usually do with less discomfort too. Talk about natural.

For Pimples: To extract the gel from the leaf you will need to cut a good sized leaf from the aloe vera plant. Wash the leaf well in water and, using a knife, cut it in half lengthwise. Use a spoon or a knife to scoop out as much gel as possible. Test a small amount of the aloe vera on your skin.You should always try a small amount of gel from the plant on a small area before applying all over. You need to make sure you don’t have an allergy or sensitivity to the plant. If there is no reddening, itchiness or swelling, you can try it on your face. Apply the gel on your face and leave it on for 20-30 mins before rinsing.

For Spots:

Use aloe vera for spot treatment. Take 2 teaspoons of aloe vera gel and add two to three drops of lemon juice. The lemon juice helps maintain the pH of the skin. Mix well before applying to your face. Leave it on for half an hour before rinsing. Repeat daily.You can keep it on your face for longer than 30 mins if you wish.

Aloe vera can also be used to create a facial mask. Cut one to two leaves  from an aloe plant and trim off the spikes along the sides of the leaf. Cut the leaves open and scoop out the gel. Add 1 teaspoon of honey, honey has additional antibacterial properties or five to seven drops of lemon juice to the aloe vera gel. Mix any additives into the gel thoroughly. Apply the gel all over your face and if you can leave it on overnight.
Continue treatments for several weeks. It may take some time for the healing effects of the aloe vera to help your condition. If these treatments don’t improve your acne in three to four weeks, make an appointment with a dermatologist to determine what your best course of action is.

BAKING SODA

Baking Soda can also be used to clear pimples.
Make a paste by mixing 2 teaspoons of baking soda with a little water. This paste can be directly applied to affected areas and left on for 20 minutes before thoroughly washing off.
Applying a moisturizer immediately afterwards will reduce the risk of the skin drying out.
