I always wonder, if I’m the only one who tackles with deciding on what hairstyle to get each time I have to do my hair. Whenever it’s time to bestow my hair a little protection or style, my mind stops working. It can be days before I finally settle for a certain hairstyle.
However the result is always satisfying , considering you have a good hairdresser and an amazing blogger *wink wink* who will give you lots  of options to choose from. 6 hairstyles I fell in love with instantly.

Box Braids

As a black woman with afro textured hair, I need to occasionally protect it from weather change, plait it often to promote growth, protect it from breakage and also experiment with different styles. Now this is where protective hairstyles like box braids come in. Rarely do I ever get to visit the saloon with any hairstyle in particular in mind. I allow my hairdresser to help me choose.

Box braids came up in the suggestions a few months ago. Frankly l wasn’t keen. Finally agreed to get them done after she highlighted that she would curl the ends. It would be unique. Few hours later I was staring at myself feeling like a total goddess. I kept them for five weeks and never regretted having them. They are so easy to maintain, fun to style and promote hair growth tremendously. Will definitely be getting them more often now.

Artificial Locs

I have always admired people with dreadlocks. They are perfect and give you a natural sexy look. So, when I stumbled upon artificial locs l was  most excited. Firstly because I couldn’t get this hairstyle before. I easily get bored. The thought of having one hairstyle forever!!!
I fell in love with artificial locs instantly. I can now rock dread locs, experience the look and still go back to combing my hair after a few weeks.
Artificial dread locs are a great choice for a protective style. They come in different colours, sizes and length.

Natural hair

Rocking a natural look is amazing. You don’t have to be made up all the time to look fabulous. Looking true to your own nature, is one of the best ways to boosting your self confidence.
You look good, you feel good and your confidence is increased. Wearing my own natural hair does wonders for me. It gives me a youthful appearance and makes me feel young too. Your own hair is one of the best hairstyles you can ever wear. You can style it however way you desire. Natural hair is my all time favourite. Shampoo your hair, deep condition it and invest in hair products that are good for it. It will never let you down considering you treat it right.

Goddess Braids

This is a go getter. If you are looking for a protective style that will surely turn heads and make you feel like a royal, goddess braids are it. I fell in love with this style instantly. It’s stylish and there is a lot of ways to get it done.

Peruvian and Brazilian hair

As much as I love my hair, I still adore some silky hair extensions. My hair can’t be 22 inches long so whenever I feel like some long hair, these are my solution. I have my Brazilian and Peruvian hair wigs. These also work perfectly for hair growth.
You can also get them in different forms wavy, straight and curly. I prefer Peruvian hair the most as it’s thicker and blends more with my hair type, giving off a more natural look too. These extensions can be coloured, washed, curled and flat ironed. They come in different grades, inches and prices vary accordingly.
Oh!!! Lest I forget. You can own them for years, considering you take great care of them.

Short hair

So, this I haven’t tried just yet but it’s definitely on my bucket list. Short hair hairstyles are no longer a shameful thing within women nowadays. You can cut your hair to any style and length you desire, yet still maintaining your feminine look.  I come across women everyday, rocking short hair confidently, in the most amazing styles  and I am always left at a WOW point. If you want to rock a sassy look this is one of the options to look at. There is plenty cuts to choose from too.
